AncesTree Connection
ancestry - a line linking your generation to your past

Welcome to the amazing world of genealogy research !!

What is genealogy?  Simply put, it's a study of your past.  It's discovering who your ancestors were, where they lived, and learn what kind of lives they led.  It's history taken to a new and exciting level. As you travel back through time, you'll learn about the paths that your ancestors took; paths that have many twists and turns along the way. You'll be treated with delightful surprises and frustrating clues. If you love working on puzzles, as I do, researching your ancestry is trying to solve the biggest puzzle of your lifetime.

Who are my ancestors?         Do I look like any of them?        What were they like?

Our today is the history of future generations.

Will future generations think we were wise or had a rock for a brain?

I recently heard that it's okay to use cold water, instead of warm water, to wash your hands.  We were always taught to use warm water - in fact as warm as we could tolerate.

If cold water is just as good to get rid of germs, then why do we have to boil water when a water main or sewer main breaks?  Why not just drink the water out of the tap?

I mean if cold water gets rid of germs, then why boil?

My opinion?  Use cold water to save energy costs.  Then you can use that great new health care to pay for the doctor bills or hospital bills after getting ill from all those germs.

In 1797, on the 2nd night of becoming President of The United States of America, President John Adams wrote to his wife:

"May none but honest and wise Men ever rule under this roof"

What were my ancestors' interests?

Where did they go to school and did they have to climb uphill both ways to get there?  J
